Harmergreen Wood is the venue for our annual “traditional” weekend camp where Scouts learn and practice basic scouting skills: fire lighting, cooking on an open fire, wood chopping, shelter building etc. They also have a great time in the woods. The leaders have a great time too.

Harmergreen Wood is a basic woodland campsite located just outside of Welwyn Garden City. It has toilets and cold water but that’s it.

This year we had 16 Scouts and we were also joined by five of our Cubs on Saturday. We paired them with Scouts and had them fire lighting, shelter building and backwoods cooking. They loved it.
